Penticton sits on a narrow strip with Okanagan Lake to the north and Skaha to the south. The local move: coffee on one beach in the morning, the other in the afternoon — and float the Penticton Channel in between.

The big one. A long sandy beach right by us, a grassy promenade, paddleboards and the marina. Best for sunset walks and people-watching.

Warmer, calmer water and a huge family beach. Home to Rotary Play World and a splash pad — the go-to for anyone travelling with little ones.
We’re at Unit 613, 271 Wylie Street — top floor, north end of downtown Penticton, a block off the river.
Penticton’s own airport (YYF) is 10 minutes away, with direct flights to & from Vancouver on Air Canada and WestJet. Or fly into Kelowna (YLW) — a scenic hour’s drive south along the lake. From Vancouver it’s about 4½ hours by car.
Your spot is Stall 145 in the secure parkade — pull in and you’re steps from the elevator up to the sixth floor. There’s visitor parking if you bring a second car.
Save-On-Foods and Real Canadian Superstore are a five-minute drive south on Main Street. The downtown farmers’ market runs Saturday mornings all summer — worth the walk.
Downtown, both beaches and every restaurant on our list are walkable or a quick scoot away. Two e-scooter apps run in town.
Station-based — grab and drop at "Sparrow Nests" around town. Download the Sparrow app. Great for beach-to-downtown hops.
Download the Bird app, scan any parked scooter and go. Pay by the minute.

From lazy afternoons on the water to vineyards, trails and rainy-day backups — here’s how we spend our time in Penticton. Tap any card to plan it.

The summer rite of passage. Grab a tube and drift the lazy river channel between the two lakes — about two easy hours in the sun. Coyote Cruises rents tubes and shuttles you back to the top.

A ribbon of boutique wineries, cideries and lake-view patios along the hillside just north of town. Pick two or three, book a tasting, and make an afternoon of it — the views are as good as the wine.

The Kettle Valley Rail Trail rolls right out of town on an old railway grade — flat, scenic and easy for all ages, winding past vineyards, rock cuts and the Little Tunnel lookout. Rent bikes downtown and go.

Desert-canyon trails winding through ponderosa pines and dramatic gneiss cliffs — plus some of the best rock climbing in Canada. Go early before the heat; the lake views from up top are worth it.

Play Pebble Beach without leaving town. Climate-controlled simulator bays downtown — great for an evening out, a rainy day, or when the kids need the beach break. Bays fit the whole group.

A giant floating inflatable obstacle course on Skaha Lake — slides, trampolines and climbing walls the kids will not want to leave. Right beside the beach, playground and splash pad at Skaha Lake Park.

A lakeside family theme park right on Okanagan Lake — mini-golf, go-karts, bumper boats, a climbing wall and bouncy castles. The easy win for an afternoon with the kids.

The Downtown Community Market takes over Main Street every Saturday, 8:30am–1:30pm through early September — one of the biggest in the Okanagan. Local peaches & cherries, handmade goods, food trucks and live music. Grab a coffee and wander.
Main St, Front St & Backstreet Blvd — a short walk or scoot from the suite.
You can't go wrong with any of these — our tried-and-true favourites around town.

Coolest room in town — craft beer, a proper food menu (fried rice, pork buns, pizza), plus a 4-lane bowling alley and shuffleboard. Our go-to for a group night.

A big, bright room overlooking the water with Turkish-inspired plates. Get the octopus — that's the order. A beautiful spot for a sit-down dinner.

A cozy cabin hidden off the alley pouring woodland-themed cocktails — peach & rosemary, smoke & bourbon. Great for a pre-dinner drink.

Creative contemporary Asian plates, an energetic room and a gorgeous patio. Our pick for a special-occasion dinner — worth a reservation.

Unbeatable happy hour — $4 highballs, $7 martinis, $6 house wine, plus free wings with any drink over $9. Roll in mid-afternoon.

A tiny Barcelona-style tapas bar. Order the gambas al ajillo, patatas bravas and the Basque cheesecake. Go early — it's small and fills up.
Add your own — leave a pen by this list and have guests scribble their new discoveries. It only gets better.
Nothing fussy — just the handful of things that keep us in good standing with the building and the next guests happy.
Please keep it mellow between 10 pm and 8 am — sound carries on the patios and it’s a strata rule.
No smoking or vaping anywhere in the suite or on the balcony. There’s a designated spot outside the building.
One bed plus a den — comfortable for a couple or a small family. Just keep it to the guests you booked for.
Start the dishwasher, pop the trash in the bin by the door, close the windows, and drop the key back in the lockbox. That’s it.
